Seriously, another ear infection!

O.K., as a mother I have realized that sickness with my kids is just a given during these winter months. I'm trying to be strong and hang in there but come on really! I really believe Hannah and Rachel both have ear infections again. Hannah screamed all day yesterday about her ears and Rachel has scabbs in her one ear where she keeps picking at it. So, I'm calling the doctor today to schedule an appt for both of them.

I know one of us has been sick everyday for well over a month now. SUMMER PLEASE COME QUICK!

Another side note totally off the subject but I have decided not to find out the sex of the baby. I'm getting kind of excited about it. I just wanted to do somethin special for this little bundle because I feel like he/she is getting pushed aside because of all the other stuff I have to do with the girs. I'm going to call this morning to find out if the scheduled ultrasound is only for that or if it is to look at other things also. We will see.

So far the names Mike and I have decided on is Joel David or Abigail ?????.

Praying for a good week!

A funny from Hannah!

O.K. a few of my friends that blog have recently started putting funny things there kids say so I decided I would try this also.

A few weeks ago I had to take Hannah to the ER for a double ear infection and actually her doctor said it looked like her ear drum burst. So anyway, she was in so much pain but we finally got into the room and I turned the TV on for her to try to distract her from the pain. The ER doc finally came in and checked her out and said there would be another nurse that would come in with our prescription and discharge papers. So, during this wait Hannah looked at me with her sad eyes and said "Mama, I think I'm ready to eat now" I said "O.K., well as soon as we get discharged we will go through McDonalds and get you something." Hannah replied "No, Mama I want to eat here" I replied "Hannah, I don't think they have a cafeteria here and it is late, I think all they have is the snack machines". She looked at me so confused and said "Mama, I mean I'm ready for them to bring my dinner to me on a tray". I then immediately realized she remembered me being in the hospital with Rachel and her seeing me bring my food to me on the trays. I tried to hold in my laugh and smile because she was so serious. I explained to her that they would not be bringing her a dinner on a tray. She was very disappointed.

It has been a month!

Wow, it has been a month since I blogged. I think I am so addictive to facebook that I forget about my blog.

This past month we were full of sickness. Thank goodness now we are all well, except little Rach is teething. Oh, how I forgot how these days drag on until that little tooth pops up. She just turned 9 months on Feb 1st. She is now walking along the couch so I'm thinking she will probably walk early which would be nice since August is approaching soon. She still laughs all day well except when her teething gets the best of her. She really is an easy, easy baby.

Hannah keeps growing so fast. I look at her everyday and wonder where the time has gone. I remember moving here to Delaware when Hannah was Rachel's age. Hannah finally celebrated her 4th birthday. We had 3 birthday parties, wow way too much. We had a Chillicothe birthday at the bowling alley with all the cousins, a birthday party at our house on her actual birthday which only included Me, Mike and Rachel, and then her neighbor friend party that had to be rescheduled because of all the sickness.

Mike is doing O.K. He is a little stressed out at work but he is hiring an accounting assistant to help him out. He is still working on getting his MBA. He loves it and is so stinkin smart. I hope our kids take after him.

As far as me, well I'm still shocked I'm pregnant. I'm 15 weeks now you would think it would sink in but not yet. As of the last appointment things looked O.K. The only issue that has been brought up is a blood issue. They call it Anti-E antigen. I can't find alot of info on it but my doctor personally called me to assure me there was nothing to worry about. So, I'm trusting God that he will take care of it. I haven't been too sick this time which is why I think sometimes I forget I'm pregnant. I'm trying to declutter our house. I just don't get where all this stuff comes from and why it never goes away. I throw stuff away and give stuff away all the time. I love having a clean house and it just hasn't seen those days since Rachel was born. So, I'm thinking if I don't get it organized and cleaned now than it will never get that way.

So I think that is enough update for now. Hope everyone is doing well and I hope to post more often but who knows?

Hannah's Day Back

Hannah was so excited to start back to school today. As soon as she got there she got her workbook out and started working. It has been nice to start back on our weekly routines. Rachel is taking her morning nap and I'm paying my bills and updating emails, blogs, etc.

Thursday I go for my first ultrasound. Mike is taking the day off and going to go with me and Rachel (Hannah will be at school). I just want to make sure everything is O.K. I have been feeling pretty good just really, really tired. To the point that I would love to lay on the couch from 1pm-5pm. Then I get this energy boost at 5pm probably because I know I have to make something for dinner and try to straighten the house up a little before Mike gets home. But at least it is a reason to get off the couch. I'm hoping after the appt on Thursday and a few more weeks I'll get some energy back.

I'm still in shock I'm pregnant so again maybe after I see the baby I'll believe it.........

Wow...time flies

We had such a great Christmas this year. Especially with Rachel celebrating her first Christmas. Still seems odd to me that I am married and have two little girls. Hannah was so excited this year when she woke up at about 8am to notice the tree lights were on and that "Santa" had arrived with presents. She had woken up at 2am, 4am and then I decided that Santa better get in gear and get those presents under the tree or I would fall back to sleep again. So, just as I got Hannah back to sleep Rachel woke up. This is very common these days...what is going to happen when Baby #3 comes? So, I woke Mike up and told him I had to get the presents under the tree so he needed to watch Rachel. I finally finished and went back to the bedroom and Rachel was still awake. So her and I came back out to the living room and fell asleep on the couch.

At 7:30am, I woke up realizing Hannah wasn't awake yet and that I should go back to my bed so that when she wakes up she can tell us Santa came. Well she did and it was so funny. It was just about 15 mintues later that she woke up and I heard her feet pitter patter out her door. She looked down the hall and then ran to my room screaming. "Dad, Mom, ...Santa came, Santa came, He really did there are presents under the tree." Mike said, "Oh Hannah, Santa didn't come just come in here and lay down with us". She said so seriously "No, Dad he really did come there are presents under the tree!" "You need to come now and look. I am very serious!" So we all got up and Hannah waited patiently as Daddy had to get some coffee and take care of the dog.

We each took a turn at opening a present and then at the end Hannah had about 5 more presents than Rachel, uh oh, I'll have to do better next year. Anyway, we had fun and Mike and the girls played all day with the new toys.

Another special event is that Rachel started crawling, well scooting on Christmas day. So needless to say the tree was taken down the very next day. She is into everything and she gets where she wants to go really fast. I'm going to try and video her today and post it on facebook. It cracks me up how she crawls.

So, all is said and done with Christmas of 08. We got to spend alot of time with the whole family and this morning Mike is back to work. Hannah is down at Grandma Donna's for a few days since she has Christmas break from school. So, it me and Rach today. Mike's birthday is Wednesday so Hannah is going to help me decorate the house up and make a cake.

Rach is waking up now so gotta go.

Verse #6

Philippians 2:14 Do everything without arguing and complaining.

I saw this on a website and boy it hit home. Especially since I found out I was pregnant this past Thursday evening. Along witht the shock of it I've been moody. Lord help me to not argue or complain and help me to teach this to the girls.

Hannah's First Recital

How fun! Gosh I love having girls and doing these girly dancing things. Hannah had her first ballet dance recital for a Christmas Charity. We had to find her some Christmas pajamas which took me forever. But we found some darn cute ones at Meijer's.

Anyway, the whole day before the recital I was so stinkin anxious for her. Everytime I saw her practice this song in class she just wasn't paying attention doing what she was supposed to do whenever she remembered she was in dance class. In her class they have a whole wall that is all mirror. So during class all the little girls, including my Hannah, looks at themselves and sometimes gets so involved looking at themself that they start to drift off to la la land.

So on with the story, that morning I searched the internet for this song she was going to dance to to see if she really knew what she was doing. I finally found the song and made her practice once for me. Well this made me even more nervous after she danced for me. But she is just so darn cute that it didn't really matter.

So the night of the show came and Grandma Donna, Papa Bill, Grandma Marlene, Grandpa Hal, our neighbors, Kay, Reed and Her best friend Olivia all came to see her. I stayed backstage because of my stage fright.

So now it was time to go on stage and we got all the girls lined up. That was crazy. Hannah was getting up on stage and I ran out into the audience, thank goodness there was an empty sit in front of our gang. And her comes Hannah...........O my little Hannah. The first thing she did was have a huge smile on her face like her dream came true. She finally got to be infront of a bunch of people that were going to watch her perform. The next thing Iknow before the music starts is that Hannah is screaming to some lady in the first few rows on the right side (I was clear in the back on the left side) "Mama, Mama, Hi Mama" waving so fast and so excited to see me. The problem was it wasn't me. I wanted her to see me so bad but she thought 100% that this lady was me that she wasn't even looking anywhere else. I just prayed that that lady would wave back. She must have because Hannah finally stopped waving and yelling "Hi MAMA". So the music starts and she did such a great job! I was so proud of her. So, now I'm running back to backstage to find her and I see all the othe little girls except Hannah. My heart starts racing, oh my some one took her. Then I see two little girls in her class looking out this door onto stage. So I peeked in there and there was Hannah searching for me. She must have thought I was going to come up on stage to get her. She was so worried until I called her name and she turned around and saw me.

Oh yea, I have to back up a little, as soon as Hannah finished performing her little friend Olivia was in tears because she couldn't see Hannah on stage. So I grabbed her and told her she could go back with me to pick up Hannah. So once I get Hannah from the side stage door I hug her, tell her how proud I am of her and then I said "look who came to see you perform?" She looked at Olivia and her nervousness was gone but Olivia still had these big tears falling down her face because she was so sad she didn't see her best friend on stage. So Hannah gives her a big hug and rubs her back saying "It's alright Olivia there were just so many people here, you see me know." I cracked up because honestly Hannah words and expressions sound exactly like me. So I finally brought them out to the audience to see the "gang" and to watch the last few performances. What a great night! Such a proud Mama!

We ended the night with a trip to see Fantasy of Lights! That was beautiful. It is in Alum Creek State Park.
